GPS coordinates: 36.292022,-76.193705 (in the river)		The battle took place between Hospital Point on the Camden side of the river and Cobb’s Point on the Pasquotank County side. The entire battle lasted around 30 to 45 minutes. The Sea Bird was sunk, as was the Fanny. The Ellis was boarded and captured. The Beaufort escaped to Norfolk up the Dismal Swamp Canal. The Appomattox was burned at South Mills when she couldn’t fit through the locks.
