Camden County Troops Union Troops
Co. D, 1^st North Carolina Infantry		Back
Company D was organized in the Shiloh section of Camden County in August of 1862. Twenty-five Camden men were enlisted on 10 August 1862. Five more joined on 18 August 1862 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Captain Enos Cook Sanders, formerly of the 1^st New York Marine Artillery, commanded Company D. A total of forty-five men from Camden County eventually served in the company.
