Artifacts raised from the wreck of the CSS Black Warrior will be displayed at the new Museum of the Albemarle building once it opens. A prime artifact from the battle of Elizabeth City scheduled to go on display is this gun carriage from the Black Warrior, shown in a picture from The Daily Advance as it was being raised on August 8, 2001.
